Admiring the Full Moon at Norah Head, NSW

NBN Weathershots Image

Imagine this…

Its pitch black save for the red of your headlamp, the ocean roars before you, the wind howls around you kicking up sand in its rage. The moon refuses to play peak-a-boo, its stubborn, hiding behind the clouds.

I set up my camera on a rock ledge, anchoring it with weights, its sprinkling now but I fail to notice, my layers protect me. Timer set I run to the edge and look up, as I do the moon reveals itself, starring in a private show just for me.
